The Royal British Legion asked us to help decorate the centre of Liskeard with woolly poppies in memory of all those who have died in service of our country.
We worked with them, and with a small army of local crafters, to create a poppy cascade from the Fountain monument in Liskeard for Remembrance 25. Over 3,000 poppies were knitted and crocheted - some people made over a 100! Many thanks to everyone who contributed and to Liskeard Knit and Natter, The Sewing Shop and Bumblebee Knitting.
Also many thanks to Liskeard Town Council for enabling use of the Fountain.
Afterwards, we took down the cascade with the help of local firefighters and they took it back to the fire station to be carefully washed and dried before being stored at Liskerrett Community Centre for future years.
